This Ilexian woman is probably in her late forties, though ill health has left its mark on her form and features. Of medium height, she retains traces of a limber and active nature in the poise and straightness of her bearing, though her figure now has a wasted look. An already angular face is made sharper by the hollows of her pallid cheeks, and her strained pale green eyes and dark downswept eyebrows give her a stern look. Her long aristocratic nose is offet by a wide mouth with lines of laughter and of pain creasing the corners. The thick buckwheat brown hair crowning her brow has lost much of its luster, and is shot heavily through with grey and silver threads.
