Dusting off this thread with the below! :) (Definitely did a double take at the last timestamp. What do you mean it's been over a year?! Where'd the time go?!)

Mawwal - Meena Shamaly, Christopher Tin (Old World)

Tarab Pt. 2 - Layal Watfeh, Christopher Tin (Old World)

Kind of off topic, but wishing everyone a warm holiday season and end of year! :) <3

Cha'am - Lena Chamamyan

Ishaq's Lullaby - Layth Sidiq, Brendan Angelides (Assassin's Creed Mirage: Valley of Memory)

Some more music I found that I personally felt was very evocative, and wanted to share. :'')

Just wanted to share this composition called Meri Sakhi Ki Avaaz, by Reena Esmail, which combines Hindustani vocals and European opera! I learned about this through my social media algorithm (haha), which suggested this post to me, and I was sooo amazed! I couldn't find the full video of this particular performance, but there are others available to view, such as:

Meri Sakhi Ki Avaaz (3rd movement: Aks aur Saaya - Mirror/Opposite) - Saili Oak, Lucy Fitz Gibbon, Salastina Music Society. The link is timestamped to the third movement which I find particularly wonderful and includes the portion highlighted in the clip, but the whole piece is interesting to listen to (imo). <3 I loved how these singers seemed to enjoy playing off of each other!
