It seems to be a low-key affair, but word gradually gets around that the strange foreign ship from the north, with its strange northern barbarian prince aboard, along with a fine load of cargoes from the Caliphate, will be setting sail back to their mysterious homeland across the Adelantean on the evening of Niota's Day.
At first there is some additional gossip mixed in that this is actually the funeral barque of the infamously sickly Prince of Innithel, and that the ship is going to be set alight in a magnificent floating pyre as it heads out to sea -- assorted experts in the ways of northern barbarians having asserted quite positively that this is How Things Are Done Way Up There. But eventually these rumors are refuted (with some regret) when numerous unimpeachable witnesses, including the Harbormaster and the Chief Customs Inspector, vouch for the fact of the barbarian prince being actually still alive.
Such minor disappointments aside, there's still some interest in watching the plucky Sea Lynx and its brave crew launch upon their return journey through the heart of the sea, right around the time that the tides begin to turn between the hour of respite and the hour of the scorpion.
