According to onlookers, the so-called 'Lioness of Tessere' was seen lugging an inordinate number of dead rats up from the bilge, claiming to be working towards fixing up the sail, somehow. Perhaps more pressing is the stench of two dozen rats of varying states of decay left in the hold, described by at least one as 'unholy'.

Incidentally, the injured Irzali growler claims that you should only eat the meat of the fresh rats, to whatever extent a bilge rat can be fresh. Perhaps this is why he's presently bedridden.
