Help Topic: Think

Category: Roleplay -- There are no limitations on this command.

The think command makes a character think something.

Admin can see this to help tailor events, and telepathic characters
who are watching your character may also be able to see it depending
on their skills and your character's telepathic resistance.

Usage: think <thoughts>
Example:
> think I can't wait for tomorrow!
You think: I can't wait for tomorrow!

You can similarly use 'feel' and 'remember' for different flavor.

Usage: feel <feelings>
Example:
> feel a horrible surge of excitement.
You feel a horrible surge of excitement.

Usage: remember <memory>
Example:
> remember that time that Donna didn't sell you bread.
You remember that time that Donna didn't sell you bread.

If you want your thought, feeling, or memory to show up to potentially
telepathic characters or to observing administration in a way that has
consistent pronoun usage, while still showing up to you and in your log
as a second-person message, feel free to use the /i /me /my /mine /myself
syntax conventions.

If you want parentheses emotes to show up as well, in order to add more
written nuance to your thoughts, you can use parentheses:

Example:

> feel (with a pang of sadness) like that wasn't really what /i wanted
Others see: With a pang of sadness, Donna feels like that wasn't really
what she wanted.
You see: With a pang of sadness, you feel like that wasn't really what
you wanted.

It's possible to make a completely freeform interior-narration emote
by both starting and ending the text with a slash. But, in that case,
you won't be able to reference other people in the emote.

Example:
think /It's been so long since you had some tasty bread./

You can also use the IMOTE command to start a freeform interior-narration
with your name, if that style of inner-life documentation is easier for
you!

Example:
imote hasn't had tasty bread in a long time, and hungers for it.
